Smith Surname Nightmare

Hi could anyone help me I am having grate difficulty looking for this man.
George Smith I have attached the census below for him and his wife.

George Smith 1890/91/92 Born Liverpool
His dad was called Thomas William Smith Occupation Carter.
He had a brother called Ernest Smith but we don't know he was born. We know the above information because of the marriage certificate between George and Edith.

He was a driver in the Army Service Corps and based in Germany East Africa in WW1.
Regiment number 1471777
We can't find him before 1911 and after 1918.

Any help would be grateful

George Smith's pension ledger says he was born 1889, no day or month given.

Two older ones were twins

Both were put in Liverpool home for destitute children on myrtle st sent to canada and the mum paid for Alfred to come back.

Leslie settled out in Canada.

We know George was put in a home in Moss Street but came back home at some point.

There is a Thomas Smith who is a carter in 1891 and a timber carter in 1901.
He is married to Alice, and lives in Bootle. George born 1888/1889.

Thomas Smith married Alice Orme in 1886, Walton-on-the-Hill, details in Ancestry.  He is a carter on marriage certificate.

Does it state that Ernest Smith was his brother, or that Ernest Smith was a witness?  He could have been an uncle, or totally unrelated.
