Newbury Weekly News 22.11.1906
« on: Thursday 15 October 20 13:21 BST (UK) »
I note a death of "Jane Sproat 87 Hungerford 20 173 Q/E March 1906" in the index and have discovered a reference to dec'd in NWN&GA 22.11.1906 page 8 -
Kintbury.
"....... erected in the churchyard at Christ Church by Mrs.Byron of Hollymount, with the following inscription : loving memory of JANE SPROAT, born Gatehouse, Scotland. Who dux! 12th February 1906, aged 87. After 74 years' faithful service in the family of John .......".

Would anyone with access to the full newspaper text be kind enough to complete the above for me.
jcmac.

Jool,
Brilliant - thank you very much.
I stumbled on her yesterday on a stone she erected to her parents and her sister.
Her name, age, place and date of death noted. It allows me to identify the correct family at the move from OPR to Statuary records - every family has a John, Jane and Agnes !!!
Many thanks,
jcmac.
