Reading children's homes 1926-1930?

I'm hoping you can help me?  Is there a list anywhere of children's homes in Reading in the 1926-30 period please?

I have written to Berkshire Record Office but the message on the website says responses might be slow at the moment as they are so busy with enquiries.

There's some very useful information there, but basically it sends me to the Berkshire Record Office, so I'll have to patient and wait for their reply.
