What is a 'Sun-lit hand lamp"?
« on: Tuesday 20 October 20 09:51 BST (UK) »
I am looking at a list of wedding presents in 1929

The Groom's present to the Bride was a 'Sun-lit hand lamp".   What might this be?  Is it an early tanning bed  ;D
It was his second marriage and they were both 43.

Check the Western Morning News, 22 Oct 1923, for "Sunlite" hand lamp - with picture.

Or google "hellesen sunlite"

There were two versions of the torch, senior and junior (junior below), using the renowned Hellesen batteries:

It’s lovely isn’t it, instead of saying Money, or Cash. “Treasury notes”.
