So the BIG question Roobarb, is what book are you reading? Glad you find it so absorbing.
Clearly it is important to be getting out of the house for walking everday if you can, or gardening if walking is off for any reason, but no, you do not have to be gardening when you don't feel like it, and zero levels of guilt necessary.
It must be very hard not going places where you can converse and socialise with other people, but you do chat on the phone to people quite often, and picking up the phone when you are feeling isolated is a useful compromise.
Up late yesterday, 07:45 gosh, and a slow start, but eventually gathered the mental strength to sally forth for the weekly grocery shop. Never a favourite pass time, but these days it always feels like Russian roulette, and I really hate it. The store seemed quite busy; more shoppers than I anticipated, and fewer tills open. Must make a point of getting out early on grocery day, we have let that slide which is foolish, though I am not ready to relinquish control to click and collect yet.
The reward was an impulse bag of "special soy, ginger & garlic spiced egg noodles" for 8p which we enjoyed with some very nice reduced fresh salmon fillets at £2.44. A tasty dinner for £1:26 each. Bargain!!
During lunch there was talk on the radio of abandoning putting the clocks back, on the premise that there is no need for light in the mornings, and it would be far more useful in the evenings. For those that don't have to be out and about early I can point out it was still pitch dark at 07:20 this morning, and still dusky at 07:48, which is horrible, and dangerous for people who have to get to work before 8 in the morning.
Walked along the seafront, the sea was wild and the wind was howling, but not cold. Oddly, one of the Dutch cruise ships anchored close into the Bay has gone.
Caught up with the David Walliams WDYTYA which I did find interesting, and then watched a programme about the Vikings.
Hope you all have a reasonable day.
