Have just found a possible ancestor's birth record and was really chuffed until I started searching in the census records, there is no trace.

Thanks everyone, sadly its not the one I was hoping for. My Patrick Gavin is still missing in his early years , I do have his wedding cert and his death cert he moved from Galway and lived in Tyrone (no trace in the 1939 register)  married in Mountbellew 1921   must have moved up north around the same time as his daughter was born in Tyrone 18 dec 1922  , Also have his war records as he was discharged injured in 1920  sooo will keep searching  :(

Was he born in Galway?
Is there any information on his military records?
