I am trying to find info about my ancestor Patrick Cullen and his family. Here is what I know: He was born 1786, Sligo (from his Cert of Freedom) and his parents were William Cullen (farmer) and Honora Gaffeney (from his death cert). He married Margaret Curren (I believe in 1810, Drumshambo, but I don’t have a primary source for this). They lived in Kilmactranny and had 10 children (5 boys, 5 girls). In 1837 he was convicted of stealing and transported to Australia. I have found information about his trial and about his life in Australia, and I have also have information about 5 of his children who followed their father to Australia. They are Phillip (born 1816), Ellen Mary (1818), Thomas (possibly with second name Bernard) (1824), Dominic (1826) and Bridget (1828). Thomas was born in Ballynacheagh, Sligo (immigration record) and another place name that comes up in ancestry family trees is Glenkillamy (or Lankillamy?).
I have not been able to find any Irish birth, death or marriage info for Patrick and his children. Can anyone help? Or perhaps direct me to the most useful website for Sligo records?
