Owen is often used as a name in Ireland- 9580 of them in 1911 census (450 of those living in County Tyrone).
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

I guess they must have migrated from Wales!

or even vice versa! I can't make any more headway on the McGirrs' and I'm thinking that the DNA matches are from the other side of the family.
