Oh what sad news.

Christine was one of the 'unsung' Rootschatters who didn't push herself forward, but was always ready to help by doing look ups on her regular weekly visits to Woodhorn.
She did several 'private' look ups for me, for which I was very grateful.
She was also a volunteer for the Blyth Battery Project.

Thanks for all your help 'c-side'.

So very sad to read this, but thanks for letting us know Sarah.

I never actually met her in person, but exchanged PMs with her now and then. She was always kind and generous with her time, helped so many people in Rootschat. I have been grateful for her help many, many times.
Sincere condolences to her family, they are in my thoughts and prayers.
R.I.P Christine

So very very sad. Christine was such a lovely caring person.

As Jennifer says, she was an unsung hero who helped so many RC members.

Oh my goodness!  What a shock to read this!  Christine was so helpful to so many on the Northumberland board (including myself).  I had the pleasure of meeting Christine once at one of the Local History fairs at North Shields library when she was manning the Blyth Battery stall.  Christine struck me as a lovely person as we chatted and she showed me the exhibits.  I so hoped to meet her again one day at another event but now it is sadly not to be.  I am so sad that Christine has gone.  Her input was tremendous and she will be missed so much.  :'(
Rest in peace, dear Christine and Thank You So Much!

I am so sorry to read this, like River Tyne Lass I only met her once at the library local history day but she helped me a lot and seemed really nice. Such sad news.
