I believe she was born to John Burnet and Elizabeth Fairlee at Garvald on 3rd October 1749.
They are all shown on Family Search.  Check it out for yourself.
Do not trust the FamilySearch listing. Why? Because the (so-called) 'record' there shows both Garvald, Dumfries-shire and Garvald, East Lothian as the birthplace. See attached screenshot. This is impossible. They are two entirely different places with the same name, about 90 miles apart by road.

This is the Garvald, or Galvald, or Garrel, kirk in Dumfries-shire.
https://www.geograph.org.uk/gridref/NY0490.

The original record is available at Scotland's People. It shows the baptism of Isabell Burnet in Garvald, East Lothian, in 1749.

So it appears that someone, somewhere, has assumed that Garvald, Dumfries-shire and Garvald, East Lothian, are one and the same. This is incorrect. Therefore you cannot rely on anything else from the same source.

Check it out at the proper source: www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

hmcc.

This would make sense then as still in Dumfries and Galloway.
