Marriage Oct 1949 hollywell
« on: Sunday 25 October 20 15:52 GMT (UK) »
I’m aware that as the above is a date where some one could still be alive , I have not mentioned any names as I don’t want to get in trouble
The brides father is Welsh and she is the daughter of my great uncle she married a gentleman with a very unused surname for Wales , and I’m thinking he could have been a POW or an naturalised  American with a German name , who stayed after the war.
I have the marriage found on line but I can find no trace at all of them after that date no deaths no children no passenger  lists , could any one advice please
Of course I would post the names if it’s allowed

Thank you

Thank you I’m happy to post the name but I’m not sure if I’m allowed to do so
Thank you

Have you checked whether either party appears on the 1939 register?  If they do, then they have probably died.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

If the husband's name started with an S, he might have died Q1, 1999, Denbigh North.

Do you know his approx date of Birth?

PS - first name was an H.

I found the marriage on North Wales BMD so I  was able to do a global search. It may not be him but I thought it was worth mentioning. It stated his birth as 1920.
