Marriage of John Bolton and Mary Ann Green 1911

Hello.

I'm helping out a friend with some research and am trying to find the details of the marriage between John Bolton & Mary Ann Green, 2nd quarter 1911 Chorley St Lawrence's.

John & Mary Ann emigrated to Australia but I haven't found when, Mary Ann bn abt 1866 Chorley, died 21st Dec 1925, Lithgow NSW.

It is who John Bolton was that is proving difficult to sort out, any help would be much appreciated.

The marriage records for St Lawrence are on Ancestry but only to 1900

The is only two of that name in Chorley, Lancashire on the 1911 census (Family Search)

One is only 17 to other John Bolton 22   is with his family.

I couldn't see the marriage on line - census night 1911 was 2 April 1911

Mary Ann bn abt 1866 Chorley, died 21st Dec 1925, Lithgow NSW.

Is this Mary Ann GREEN bn 1866, single with her sister Elizabeth on 1911 census

Yes age confirmed by her death in 1925 and gravestone in Lithgow (Died 21st Dec 1925 age 59 yrs, beloved wife of John).

Yes that is Mary Ann with her sister in 1911.

Mary Ann Green was baptised at St Laurence Chorley on 4 Jun 1865
Father:   Thomas Green, joiner Mother:   Elizabeth

To find out more about her husband John Bolton you would need to obtain the marriage cert. to find out his father's name occupation etc....

Have you found a death for John Bolton to confirm his age?

This departure date would mean they left immediately after marriage if they married qtr 2 and she was still single on 2nd April (1911 census)
