James Francis Byrne New York
« on: Tuesday 27 October 20 12:10 GMT (UK) »
Hi ,
I am looking for any more information for a James Francis Byrne.
James I am told was born in New York. His WW1 draft registration gives his date of birth as 29 May 1881. His wife's name is Helen. We think she was Helen Hicks possible marriage 1912 but not confirmed.
I can see them in the 1920 census but nothing else.
can anyone see them anywhere?
Thanks,
bswinno.

This looks like the death of their infant daughter in 1922.  https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:2W2G-HDG  The WWI draft card gives the address as 103 Jackson Ave., which is what seems to be on this record.

Social Security application shows William George Byrne, born 19 Jul. 1916 in Astoria, NY to James F. Byrne & Helen Hicks, died 6 Aug. 1993.

Here's his burial - https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/2628166/william-g-byrne

Veterans records show he was in the Army from 17 Apr. 1943 to 2 Oct. 1945

SSDI says his last residence was West Islip, Suffolk Co.  New York.

William's WWII draft card (7 Jan. 1941) gives his address as 61-38 164th St. Flushing, NY.  The person who would always know his address was his aunt Mrs. Margaret Kruse, 150-42 Coolidge Ave., Jamaica, NY. William was unemployed.  He was 5'9" tall, 165 lbs., blue eyes, brown hair, light complexion.
