Newspaper article
« on: Thursday 29 October 20 06:48 GMT (UK) »
I've been advised by a relative that there was a newspaper article about Thomas Jeffs of Kislingbury. Seems he was trialed with an William Haddon for larceny in Northampton.

I guessing this would be before 1828.

Is it possible someone could do a lookup please

From criminal register - Acquitted of assault with attempt to commit larceny January 1828 Northants.  No entry for William Haddon on the same page

A William Haddon was acquitted of Larceny in Leics but that was in "Lent" 1827

Acquitted of assault with attempt to commit larceny

I read it as " assault with attempt to commit sodomy"

‘no bill’:  to reject as unfounded or having insufficient evidence.

He'd been committed to the County Gaol in October 1827 pending trial at the Quarter Sessions (Northampton Mercury 27 October 1827, page 3).

Thanks all.

I was hoping to find a connection between Thomas Jeffs of Kislingbury and William Haddon of Cold Ashby
