Crow Family Berwick

I’m looking for information regarding the Crow Family living at 70 Marygate, Berwick upon Tweed. In particular the master mariner John Crow 1800’s. Can anyone help to get me started?

There is a Crow family living here Chapel Street, Berwick upon Tweed, Berwick, Northumberland in the 1851 census

John Crow born 1808, birthplace given as Berwick upon Tweed, occpation Butcher.  His wife is Mary (1809) and children listed are Henry (1836), Vallay (1840), John (1846) and Hannah (1849).

Not a Master Mariner so probably not yours but I've included it anyway.

Hmm, well I've found a John Crow who may be the father of your John.  He is on the 1861 on the vessel the SS London.

John's birth year is given as 1773 and his birth place is said to be Dundee, Forfarshire.  His occupation is given as Engineer.

Do you know anything at all about your John Crow other than his name?  Who did he marry, any children?  Can you be a little more specific about when John was born?  1800's is pretty wide
