Albert Carter Marriage abt. 1928

Just seen an online tree, that has a distant relative as marrying in 1928....Albert Carter to an Elisabeth Sharp.....I cannot find this marriage at all, and wonder if this is a mistake, wondered if anyone else could have a look please.....many thanks.

I can see no such marriage between 1920 and 1935, only Albert CARTER to Ellen SHARP in Uxbridge Reg. Dist in 1928.

Thanks for that, yes I have seen that one, there were several children born Orsett, to an Albert V Carter, with mmn Sharp.....I THINK that they must be the couple in question, and that the tree is wrong..........

I believe I have found the tree you refer to and Elizabeth appears to be their daughter, born in 1929.

Yes, I have seen that....they have the mother as Elisbth ??.....so spelt wrongly, not very reliable I think.....I have the couple on the 1939 register, another daughter was born 1930, so won't name her on here, may or may not have married into my wife's Clarke family

Mmmhhh......Just found another possibility, an Albert Carter married an ELLEN Elizabeth Page, at Brentwood, Essex......they had a son, Arthur, which tallies with the suspect tree, but he was born in 1916, there is another child on the 1939 register, but is blanked out.....I had thought that the lady in question was born around 1930, which would make her mother about 48 or 50 years old, not impossible I suppose....all very confusing....

I think that my original thoughts are correct, as I can find no birth for the lady in question, with a mmn of PAGE.....the one with mmn SHARP fits perfectly, just a shame that she, and a possible brother Arthur, are not viewable on the 1939 register to confirm their birth dates.....it looks like Arthur Carter was born in 1934, and the suspect tree has his death as 2018....taking some sorting out this one !!
