Hi...

Honour confirms them as she is baptised as Honor  on the same day as 4  other siblings in 1830.

Mother then is given as Sarah.

Samuel onwards the mothers maiden name is Leonard.

Thank you will root about more for Sarah's death.

Thanks
Tazzie

Strange - maiden name shouldnt be Leonard, as Hannah was a widow at her marriage to James Lee

There is a birth registration in 1837 for a Samuel Lee mmn Leonard, maybe Sarah was related to Hannah somehow

In 1840 James Lee married Hannah (Ann) Leonard in Hackney.

If she was a widow then her fathers name on the marriage should be different to hers and show her birth surname.

She names her father as William Leonard labourer.

Interesting ...

Marriage cert clearly says Widow, as do Banns.
But father is William Leonard.

Possible a Leonard/Leonard marriage?

The marriage is just taken from freebmd......hmmm maybe I've jumped the gun on this one.

I've got to go look for some old notes on a marriage in 1844 for a Samuel George Stanton.

 I will be back
