Hi everyone,

I've located a Swedish Estate Inventory Register for Gabriel Måhrbeck. ArkivDigital record: Gotlands-södra-häradsrätt-(-1899)-F2A-2-1744-1759-Image-7770-page-773

I'm having difficulty reading and translating the record. But from what I can understand his wife is listed as Maria Elisabeth Larsdotter. I am trying to determine Gabriel's family members as listed in this record. I believe the full inventory record also makes reference to a brother named Paul Måhrbeck.

Would greatly appreciate any assistance in understanding the relationships from someone who can read Swedish.

Here is a loose translation. Very difficult to decipher. I got most of it though:


"The year 1750 2 March. The probate requested for river pilot Gabriel Morbeck in Klinte Parish.
He leaves behind a widow Maria Elisabeth Larsdotter and 5 children.
Daughter Anna Christina 10 years old, her guardian being in-law Jonas Ståhlman
Son Petter 8 years old, his guardian being Berthel Stenberg
Daughter Maria Elizabeth, her guardian being Berthel Stenberg
Son Lars 3 years old, his guardian being Maria Elisabeth Larsdotter's brother Johan Larsson
Son Gabriel 2 years old, his guardian being Jöran Fröberg.

The estate is declared by his brother river pilot Paul Morbeck."
