It seems to me that you are relying on family memories and maybe getting names confused over time.

I think you should start this line with what you definitely know and work back from them. We can help  but you can't put up names of people who maybe living. Also, you are having to investigate very common Welsh surnames.

If the person that you are looking for is definitely  male, then maybe think of names that sound like Heulwen - say Elwyn, etc.
