There has been discussions around 2007 of the Wintle's .... on the Forest of Dean Forum.

'The Wintles (solicitors) of Newnham were descended from James WINTLE, b 1707 a pinmaker of Gloucester.  They moved from Saintbridge House in Gloucester to Hill House, Newnham (which is now Unlawater House) and appear  to have handled many property transactions.  They are related to the Gilbert Wintles and also the Wintle of Culham, several of whom were in Holy Orders.

Hill House is where James WINTLE and his family are on the 1861 census for Newnham.
