It is quite likely that his records were among the those  lost in a fire in WW2, nearly 70% were lost.

Do you know where he lived/was from?

Flintshire Records Office at Hawarden have a card indexed for Flintshire men who served (compiled immediately post war).
Also, Absent Voters exist for the whole of North Wales (and Cheshire).
Getting his number from these would be a start.

How sure are you of the Gallipoli and 1st 5th Bn. There's none of the Joseph Morris in RWF Medal Cards showing entered Gallipoli that I can see.

Joseph Morris 4519 was Special Reserves man and not a 5th Bn man. He went to France in December 1914.]
I have addresses of 39 Chirk Green, Chirk and 26 Railway Terrace, Cefn (Ruabon) for him.
I'll have a look where I got the addresses from if you think he's yours.

Scroll down to Special Reserves

I had picked him up on a Times casualty list...Times Casualty List 1915March22, Base List dated Mar 4th.
In my database I indicate having seen some pension records giving enlistment date of 3/1/1912 (RWF Special Reserves) and those addresses above. I'm trying to find them now but can't readily spot them. I'll try again now (I might have found them amongst another man's records)

He has a Pension Card/Ledger on Fold 3 (Ancestry).  Do you have access?
