Is there anyone who could look up a death in sydney in 1979 for a lilian bowen. Was living in worksop england but had a son in sydney.

Do you have Lilian's year of birth and/or her occupation? Did she have more than one given name?  Is BOWEN the surname she would be recorded under in 1979? Could she be "Lillian" rather than "Lilian" ... sorry for so many questions.

Like Neale, I have not found Lilian BOWEN's 1979 death recorded in NSW BDM.  Like Neale, I can find a Lillian BOWEN's 1980 death in NSW, but she died April 1980.  The online index does NOT give her age, so I am not sure if that Lillian was an infant or an elderly lady or somewhere in between. 

So, NSW BDM online index for deaths has:
Lillian BOWEN, with parents given names as William and Adelaide.  Ref number 8506/1980.

Thankyou so much for the info

I found out that this lady moved to sydney to her son when her husband died in south africa. They actually were both from the UK. I do believe that she went back  home for cremation so hence why no record in aus. It was indeed in 1980.
