Birth of Ann Elizabeth Walker, Huddersfield, 1830's?
« on: Sunday 01 November 20 21:10 GMT (UK) »
Hello,

Following on from my previous post, I have another query which I have drawn a blank with.

I am trying to find the date of birth of my ancestor Ann Elizabeth Walker, she died in 1894, as Ann Mcartney in Halifax, her age was listed as 58, so giving a date of birth of 1836.

Ann or Annie was first married in 1852, to John STOCKS and listed her age as 21, so a date of birth of 1831.

Her second marriage was in 1879, to Henry Mcartney and her age was listed as 40, so a date of birth of 1839. on the 1881 census, she is list as 41, so a date of birth of 1841.

Her father is listed as being called William Walker, and was listed a deceased by 1879, and his occupation was given as Cloth Drawer in 1852, and later as Cloth Finisher.

I have not been able to find her on the 1851 or 1841 census, as yet, which would help.

Where did the marriages take place, what addresses were given, how old were the grooms, and what names witnessed.

Hello,

Both marriages where in Halifax, Grooms where listed above.

Witnesses on 1852 marriage where Saml Bates and John Thomas.

Witnesses on 1879 marriage where William and Eliza Hudson, who might have been the church minister.

On at least one census return Ann mentions Huddersfield, as her birthplace

Unfortunately it was just Halifax.

Her Husband to be John Stocks was living with his parents in Clover Hill Farm, Skircoat.

Hello,

That is my previous post for Ann Taylor, and I started another post for Ann Elizabeth Walker, two separate individuals,  unless they can be linked, hence why I posted to get a fresh pair of eyes to check.

But you've still left out information on your gal.

I asked for groom's age(s), not yet supplied.
you've not given each and every census (with companions) for her.
what's the full 1861?
What's the full 1871?
What's the full 1891?
