Morning / evening To all you down under...
I think you’re in the best place being right the other side of the world and away from most countries....
I like your countries regulations they are far more strict than ours and your ban on travel has clearly helped enormously as to the spread of Covid....
Wish that our government had adopted some of the same stringent rules you’ve both had.... alas not... now we could be in an even longer cycle of lockdown so rumours have it...
I say just round up all the morons and find some suitable place to put them all and we’d be fine.... the middle of the Sahara or Gobi deserts sound a good idea to me!
Now of course there’s panic buying in the shops because people think they’re not going to be able to get Xmas presents..... more loo roll hoarding....
it beggars belief...

Hope you all have a good evening / day and let’s hope for the best and plan for the worst.... keep cheerful and safe and well....

I will carry on as I have done over the last however months, we abided by the rules and regs and have done all the right things

I never panic bought like friends of ours did then had the cheek to say they had to throw food away, my reply was " don't order so much then" but what a waste, I only managed 3 deliveries but managed to shop at quiet times, it worked for me

I didn't have a very good day yesterday but I feel we all ought to keep our chin up, feel better today

Today is my birthday and my daughter, husband and my grandson are coming here for an evening meal, brought in by them, we are all on Phase 1, so we can have 6, that will be nice, pity our  granddaughter is in Sheffield but little sweetheart sang to me this morning, she had remembered I had said at one time I miss my mum singing "happy birthday" to me over the years, my twin brother rang from Teignmouth , his birthday tomorrow, they had 15 cruisers in the bay he said, it was a very windy couple of days so I suppose they are well sheltered

Blustery weather today , look like rain although the sun is out

Chin up, stay safe and keep warm

🎉🎉🎉🎉Many Happy Returns of the Day🎉🎉🎉🎉

How wonderful that you’ve managed to get in before lockdown and have your family round for a meal...I’m sure you’ll all enjoy it that much more...

You’re right we should keep our chins up...Sometimes it’s hard and like you yesterday wasn’t a good day for me either...

My SiL’s mother’s birthday is on 5th Nov and they had arranged to meet her at a NT place on Sunday 😢 I think it will just be him going but I know how disappointed she’ll be not seeing the boys....
Enjoy your day and hope your Hubbie waits on you hand and foot you deserve one day of leisure at least.

Best wishes to you 🥂 🎂

Caroline, what a shame about your OH's golf, it does seem crazy when he would be allowed to go for a walk in the countryside with his friend, the same thing but without the clubs! I definitely recommend the Michael Palin programme to cheer you up, I had tears of laughter rolling down my cheeks.  :D :D I've only ever seen excerpts from Life of Brian but having seen this particular ones I'd love to watch the whole thing. It's on Netflix but I don't have that, will have to keep an eye out for it on TV, no doubt it will come around some time. It was really funny hearing about the people they had doing the crowd scenes. In fact I'm going to see if it's on iPlayer and if so I'll watch it again.  :D

Carol, there certainly seems to have been a lot of sensible precautions re Covid, I hope the levels stay low.

Ruskie, thanks for the tips re tahini, don't want to waste that too. I envy you having fireworks made illegal, I added my name to a petition last year to do the same here but nothing has changed.

I had an email to say that it would be debated in the house of commons Today   I have not looked to see if it is on their schedule.

We have had fireworks going off near me for over a week, I have to give my dog Xanax.  ::)

Thanks for that Rosie, I've had a good trawl but can't find anything more about it. It's a disgrace that fireworks are still available to the public to buy when they're used as implements for vandalism and even weapons. That's quite apart from the trauma to animals. The government should at least insist on fireworks being made silent, I believe they have them ni Australia.

(I thought at first you were saying my use of tahini was to be debated in the house of commons!  ;D ;D )
