Hi I am looking for information on John (Jack) burke died 1942 Capetown South Africa he was in America Navy. He was reburied 8th June 1949 Holy Cross Cemetery Philadelphia with his wife Carolina he was brother of Bob Burke

Can you give us a few further details. When and where was he born ?

Will bash on with this angle until you come back and confirm further details.............

I found an entry for a John Francis Burke born 1881 and died 27 April 1942    
Cape Town, Cape Province, South Africa.
Resided :- 3302 Friendship Street Philadelphia. Married.

4th assistant engineer. SS Robert Luckenbach.

There is a FIND A GRAVE entry for the gentleman above. Would have a different spouse to the one you mention.

Hi Sandra (Many Many Thanks) that's him born 1880 Faithlegg, Co Waterford Ireland immigrated to America 1906 to his brother Robert (Bob) Burke he also had five sisters who went with him from that year until 1915 son of Thomas Burke & Kate Hennebery,  Thanks Again J Burke
