A newspaper article referring to William C. Whittle and his wife Clara Whittle.  I haven't found a follow up to this in the newspapers.

Birmingham Daily Gazette 23 December 1932.
"William C. Whittle applied for an order under the Married Woman's Act made against him in respect of his wife, Clara Whittle, of Waterloo Square, Hinckley, to be revoked.  Respondent did not appear but it was stated that a doctor had certified her as unfit to attend court and the application was adjourned for 28 days."

Thank you Jool. That is very interesting as he appears to have been a bit of a rogue, so that fits in well.

Jool

Would you be able to find out about the next court case of William C Whittle. See you comment from Birmingham Daily Gazette 23 December 1932.  It was adjourned for 28 days.  Thank you.
