Looking for Maisie Francis

Hello,
I'm looking for any English record for the following family:

Maisie Francis b. 13/6/1919 England d. 1990 Australia
Father - Harry Francis (Labourer)
Mother - Rose ?

Limited information! Apparently the Francis family travelled to Melbourne, Australia and Maisie was adopted around 1921 to a new family. Harry and Rose are believed to have returned to England. Maisie Francis grew up in Australia, got married and raised a new family. No birth certificate. Passport, marriage and death certificate all say born in England. Any suggestions greatly appreciated as initial searches are not conclusive!

The marriage record in Australia lists the following:
Date: 25/5/1940
Names: Clifford Henry Bodsworth & Maisie Francis
Condition: Bachelor and Spinster
Children: None
Birthplace: Victoria & England
Age: 20 and 20
Address: Melbourne and Melbourne
Father: William Thomas Bodsworth (Station Master) & Harry Francis (Labourer)
Mother: Matilida May White & Rose (maiden name not known)

The birthdate is on the marriage certificate and death certificate and passport. However, it is unclear of the source of that information.

This is if she was actually named Maisie and not just a nick name.

Also the above may have Parents as Charles T Francis and Florence H Lowe , married 1918 (FreeBMD)

So not much help sorry.

Thanks Trish. I did come across that one but ruled it out. Hoping to get the mother’s maiden name which will help especially since Maisie is a diminutive of Margaret - and that gives a lot more possibles to narrow down.

This Maisie Ruth Francis appears to have married Harold H Lindfield in Dartford in 1940 and died as Maisie Ruth Lindfield in Brighton in 1996. Birthdate: 8 April 1919.

Are you sure Harry and Rose Francis weren’t the Australian adoptive parents?

Thanks Wivenhoe. Yes, that’s the death with her adoptive names and parents. She was adopted around 1921.
