You need to put the references into the census search box for 1851 on whichever subscription site you have access to.  Alternatively search the names I gave you on the 1851.

And if you go back to page 1, then you will see that "Bombers Brow" is also known as Crowther Street.  Although Bombers appears to be written as Bumbers.

If it’s Crowther Street, ignore what I said previously it isn’t one of the Underbank ones; it’s further up hillgate.

Hi everyone is it possible to search the 1851 census by address looking for bombers brew or brow Stockport. Looking for Thomas & Eliza Hogan married Oct 1850 both living at that address on marriage cert. Both born abt 1830. Eliza Ireland & Thomas Newcastle upon Tyne. Eliza Moran looking if any family names appear living there

Thomas’s youngest sister Ann Hogan was my great great grandmother. The 1851 census has her and their brother Christopher mistakenly listed as Gannon, but they were John Hogan’s children. All other records for Ann such as her marriage and children’s christenings show her as Hogan, her marriage specifically lists John Hogan as father, not James Gannon. The 1841 census shows Ann Hogan “widow” (their mother) as the head and then lists the family, with James Gannon and others listed under as residents. I wonder if Ann the mother later actually married James Gannon as I cannot find a marriage record for them, or if he just happened to answer the door on census night and the census person made assumptions? I believe John Hogan died early 1841 but cannot narrow down which John Hogan death record is his. Do you have anything on this? Apparently my grandfather used to say that Ann Hogan (the mother) was a great Dublin lady who ran away with a redcoat (meaning John Hogan). Makes sense as apparently 40% of the British army was Irish during this period.  I have no clue what Ann’s maiden name was but would love to find the Hogans’ origins in Ireland.

I did notice a Tree that has a JOHN to John/Ann who was buried 25 Mar 1841 Liverpool age 0
(record is on Anc.)
I cant seem to find this on GRO, birth or death reg.

F/S has a non conformist christening for a John Hogan 17 Jan 1841 (birth 12 Jan 1841)
Father John Hogan/Mother's Name: Ann Keragan
