Thanks, probably my tree as I was working on it yesterday trying to find the father’s death. The priest had written Stockdale on the baby’s death but I presume that’s meant to be Stockport as I cannot find a place called Stockdale in the region so I added it in hoping it might trigger other hints. I had missed that christening, but it looks like this baby belongs to the family.

Hi Amanda sorry not replied sooner but with Christmas &everything lol. Doing a little research for a friend & off the top of my head Ann Hogan was Ann Devlin. Son Thomas married Eliza Moran, daughter Mary Hogan married James Melling Kemp, daughter Eliza Jane Kemp married James Kelly. There is a group on Facebook you may be interested in which is Kelly/Kemp Family History Group. Will see what else I have tomorrow. All the best Valetta

Hi Valetta,

That’s brilliant, thanks so much, that confirms my grandfather’s story. I had Ann as Devlin or Keragan, I have a copy of the John Hogan and Ann Devlin marriage record so thanks very much for confirming that!

Much appreciated,

Amanda
