What happened to the children?
« on: Thursday 05 November 20 13:12 GMT (UK) »
I think I may have asked this some considerable time ago but as yet have found no answers.
My 3x gr grandparents John Broome and Hannah Bishton both died in 1830 in Weston under Lizard. Hannah buried 21 Feb 1830 and John 27 Sep 1830 leaving 5 young children - Elizabeth born 1818, John born 1820, William born 1823, Lucy born 1826 and Jane born 1828.
I have been unable to find anything about them from then until their respective marriages except for Jane who was a servant in Wolverhapton in 1841.
Any suggestions as to where I go from here?

I think the children probably went into the Workhouse . I have found William in 1841 at the Workhouse school in Bridgenorth which is where he must have learned the trade of Shoemaker and married in 1844 . John probably learned the trade of Blacksmith and married in 1839. Jane was a servant in 1841 in Wolverhampton, while Elizabeth married in 1838. Lucy is the only one I have been unable to find.
Thank you all for your suggestions.
