Samuel Waterhouse - Lost in time
« on: Friday 06 November 20 11:11 GMT (UK) »
Sam Waterhouse (b20/4/1873 East Plumstead) married Alice Tranter (b15/3/1879 Thornaby on Tees) at Middlesbrough Registry Office on 5 Jun 1897
6 Children regularly between sep 1897 and feb 1906 - then no more kids!
1911 Census all kids and Alice accounted for on Census, Alice and 2 youngest living with relatives. She has status 'married'. 4 eldest kids workholuse accommodation with 'foster mother'

Sam just disappears. Since there are no more kids presumably he disappears around the birth of the last one - Clifford born 20 Feb 1906, Middlesbrough.
in 1891 he is in West Ham, in 1891 Thornaby and 1901 Thornaby.

I can't find him anywhere. Extra eyes would be appreciated., or - when archives reopen, a lookup for Middlesbrough workhouse records

Thanks
Tweedie, Garnett,  Smith - !!!, Fearnley,
Bennetts, Waterhouse, Horobin, Tranter

Thanks - the birth cert ofwhich I have a handwritten copy (before scans) says 1873 and the person who copied it included a note to say it says 1873 on the original.
Birken head - hmm (consults family tree) - that only occurs once in the tree... Sareh E Waterhouse,
Sam's sister baptised Walsall 1867, birth reg 1865 B'ham
Ahh - I see on '39 he is with an Ann Waterhouse 10 years younger. He has a sister Ann, birth reg Walsall 1868 - so it could very well be correct, or ann could be wife of one of his brother's - its a branch I am just atrting work on again after a very long break
