1939 War Registry

Hi can anyone help. A relative of mine was entered on 1939 War register. at that time she was living at 17 Grove Park Colwyn Bay Denbighshire Wales. A laundress. There were several other people living there ? was this a workhouse. I always thought my relative was born in Liverpool 1919. Any help appreciated.

From Google Maps it looks just a semi-detached house, but with use of the attic (dormer window/s) - assuming I've found the right address.

They would have needed launderesses for the hotels there.
She is probably in lodgings.
Far too few occupants for it to be a workhouse address IMO.

Have you located her 1919 birth on the GRO index

I searched for her on GRO index could not find her Maybe she was born in Colwyn. Her name was Julia Sealey born 12/07/1919 her parents were William and Julia Sealey nee Dunn  I would appreciate it if anyone could help. Thank You.

Not quite sure why you are querying the fact that she was in Colwyn Bay in 1939, having been born in Liverpool in 1919. 

I know, from previous research, that there was a lady in Colwyn Bay in the 1911 census, who had been born in Manchester.

By coincidence both ladies had Laundress as occupation.

Thank you so much. I wondered why she was working in Colwyn Bay. Must have been a hotel. Never thought a 20 year old would be that adventurous
