A STRANGE CHARGE OF BIGAMY. Yesterday Henry Ives, described of no occupation, was brought before the Witham Justices, charged with intermarrying with Mary Ann Newsom, his first wife, Caroline Ives, being then alive.—The first wife, Caroline Ives, who cried bitterly in court, said that she was married to the accused at Worthing, in Sussex in the year 1867. Not saying this chap in the newspaper snippet was family related. He was just one found.

Thank you all so much for helping. The dates I gave were birth years and the family in England mainly London.

I am really interested in what you found because there’s another rumour that they changed the family name from Pugh or something similar to Ives. Where did you find that info? Thanks again for helping I really appreciate it
