I agree though that the Pembrokeshire thing is weird.
I am still looking around

Tree on Ancestry has 1861 George & Jane and son in London with George born Hull, Pembrokeshire a Stone Mason.  That doesn’t seem right does it.

I am wondering if that is a different George and Jane.

I do think the 1861 Hull, Pembrokeshire census is a different man,
That couple look to be in Cheltenham in 1851 and yours is still in Olveston.

At the marriage in 1858 to Jane Woodward , groom’s residence at the time of marriage is Olveston, Gloucestershire.

Of course, not in 1861 because already in Australia!
First child’s birth reg.

WILLIAMS
George
Birth
<Unknown Family Name>, Jane
WOODWARD
<Unknown Family Name>, George
GOLDEN PT.
1858
19729/1858

So that Pembrokeshire George is a completely different man. (And so John James b 1852 is their son, a and does not belong to the Australian family)

The administration confirms his surviving children as

Frederick George, Adelize, Edward John, James & Amelia Jane.

A summery how things stand.  We can forget the marriage in 1863 between George Williams b 1829 and Susanna Arne, also the 1861 census showing George born in Pembrokeshire.

The marriage between George Williams and Jane Woodward in 1858 is correct and afterwards went to Australia,

I will order the marriage certificate, wander why they married in London if they lived in Gloucestershire, or did they marry in Olveston and register the marriage in London.

Again thank you for your help

Have found the marriage certificate

Good.
I think they must have married just before they embarked for Australia.

I think this is them on board "Dover Castle"

it sailed from London on April 3rd, and left Plymouth on the 11th.

added. arrived July 12th
