Electoral Registers
« on: Monday 09 November 20 16:15 GMT (UK) »
Members of my family are on London Electoral Registers at one address but appear to be connected to another elsewhere in London.

Can anyone explain?

Late 1919 early 1920s. It is the father's home and the other three are adult children.

Again, we need to know dates. At one time people had votes not only where they lived, but also where they owned property or businesses and at their former universities. The details would have to be looked up.
Researching Penge, Anerley, (incuding the Crystal Palace) and neighbouring parts of Beckenham, currently in London (Bromley), formerly Surrey and/or Kent.

Not too sure what the rules were in 1919/20 but it wouldn’t be that unusual today. If, for instance, you own two properties, you’re only entitled to be registered to vote from one of them. People living away from home (students/the military etc etc) are often registered at their home address.
