A friend subscribes directly to the BNA and I have access to it through Find My Past. Is anyone else struggling with the search function? Choose an article by random then try re-finding it using various search terms and filters! My mate sent me a transcript of a BNA article that he thought would be of interest to me. He noted the article source and date and is sure that is correct, but neither of us can re-find the original BNA article!

Bolton Crown Court

Re Peter Reeves Abbey Lakes Hotel Upholland and also publican at Leigh. The case which had been re-opened and several times adjourned, again came on for hearing when Mr. T.H Winder Official Receiver said he did not propose to carry on the examination any further – Mr. Dowling on behalf of the debtor applied that the examination might be declared closed, and this course was taken. (Bolton Evening News - 28/6/1886)

All advice welcome.

Excellent, thank you. Judging by the poor scan I'm not surprised that my many searches failed!

Now reads:-

THIS DAY [Before Mr. C.H. HOLDEN, Registrar.]

Re-PETER REEVES, Abbey Lakes Hotel, Upholland and also publican at Leigh. This case, which had been re-opened and several times adjourned, again came on for hearing, when Mr. T.H Winder, Official Receiver, said he did not propose to carry on the examination any further.– Mr. Dowling on behalf of the debtor, applied that the examination might be declared closed, and this course was taken.

Don't suppose you can let me have Saturday's winning lottery numbers!  ;D

Just a suggestion for the future:

Add the page and col no to the source citation (of Newspaper name/ date etc) when you save it. Cuts down the time if you (or others) need to find it again at a later date.
