Searching for a company

Hi all

Has anybody tried searching for a company rather than a person in the directories on ancestry or FindMyPast?

I would try Trade Directories, rather than Ancestry or FindMyPast?
Or search via Google?
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

Hi
The company is Eddison Steam Rolling Company of Dorchester, but I'm looking for the address of a depot they had in Leicester between 1935 and 1947

Per the phone books their Leicester addresses were:

1935-1945: 10 Humberstone Drive.

1947: Stanton Place, Thurcaston Road.

I often use "Grace's Guide" when I need to know something about a company, or a person who worked in a particular company.

Unfortunately the info on grace's refers to the company at Dorchester, but doesn't say anything about the Depots around the country
