Anyone out there who can tell me how to get a copy of my grandparents marriage certificate - CUNDELL, Leonard Goodwin and Charlotte

The T.Wells newspaper of Sept. 6,1929 announced that Leonard married Charlotte Henrriette Eleanor Florence Lee-Dillon at Bulaways, Southern Rhodesia.

Thank you for the reply, I'm specifically interested in where I could apply for a copy of their marriage certificate if you might be able to point me in the right direction I'd be very grateful

The Church of England marriages, if ever recorded, should be in familysearch.  The Bullawayo marriages are hear

This is what the newspaper article of Kent & Sussex Courier 06 September 1929 says in full:-

The marriage took place on Monday at Bulwayo, South Rhodesia, of Mr. Leonard Goodwin Cundell, the eldest son of Mr. A. A. Cundell, to Miss Charlotte Lee-Dillon, grand-daughter of Viscount Dillon, Ditchley, Oxfordshire.

The 6th was a Friday so the Monday would have been the 2nd of September.

May I suggest that you contact the Department of the Registrar General in Harare and ask if you would be able to obtain a copy of a 1929 marriage certificate.

Give the names and date, which according to my calculations was on Monday 2nd September 1929.
