Widow reference on Marriage Banns
« on: Wednesday 11 November 20 10:31 GMT (UK) »
It says "Mary Strong" was a widow on her marriage banns in Lyme Regis 1820
Would this be the maiden name or the surname from Mary's previous marriage?

That would be her surname at the time of the second marriage, NOT her maiden name.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
