What was a Brewery Fireman in 1911?

After looking at an old 1911 family census i discovered my ancestor was a "Brewery fireman" in a small company. "Can anyone tell me what a BF was in 1911 in the UK?". thanks for any help here.

He would stoke the fires that heated the boilers for making steam for the beer. A fireman was a person  employed to tend a fire or furnace,

Which company and where?
It could be that he tended a boiler that provided Steam for a stationary engine on site. Also could be Steam provided to was out casks

The boiler was out of use but had supplied steam for brewing and to power a small steam engine driving the brewery's plant.

Well done Stan for your interpretation of a Brewery fireman . I'm sure my ancestor would of "stoked the brewery machinery". His Son worked as a Bar Supervisor so the "beer was in the blood" it seems.Thanks everyone for your theories here .
