I have Allice Heyveringden which I am pretty sure is a Dutch name married
1565 Oct 20 John Chennell, St James, Shere, Surrey, Eng.

I know this is very early for records, I have looked in the usual places but I wondered whether anyone else had a tree with her on it, just interested to know where she came from, her background. There is a tree on Ancestry but no background to her.

In the absence of others with that surname I wonder whether her name was actually Hetherington, I know that is not what it looks like on the image but it could sound like that.

Thanks for that idea Rosie.  I really do think that Heyveringden is the correct name but I will explore the idea you have put there.
