name Joseph Scoley Moulton Uffen
it says in the attached paperwork accidental death then on the other premature explosion of bomb whilst practising. Would the Admiralty have carried out and an investigation or have a report?
Any help or advise is appreciated.

Have you checked him out on FindMyPast? There a 5 entries for Joseph Sco/aley Moulton Uffen. One has a single line reference to the incident. But there is a very impressive photograph of Joseph.

The article below is written by someone who's grandfather also served on HMS M.18 as a stoker for the duration of the war. There is mention of what I presume is the accident that caused the death of Joseph Uffen in a single sentence on page 4 of the article. It does, however, give you a flavour of what HMS M.18 was doing during the war.

If you don't already have a copy of his service record, it can currently be downloaded for free from the National Archives. You will need to register an account, but once you are logged in you'll be able to download his service record for no charge. Edited to add that it looks as though he has two separate service records, the second of which is related to his appointment as gunner in 1903.
