Thanks Capetown - I've used maps and information on GenUKI which have been very helpful and have visited Clewer some years ago.

Tony - I've check the FindMyPast records - how did you manage to track down your ancestors - were they on FindMyPast?

As I said in my last post, not very successful using the Lightermen records. Mainly used Baptism, Marriage and Census data to trace my bargemen. Also used all online resources for research, different sites can have different records and different methods of searching.
