Marbury Hall POW camp WW2 Pregnancy ??

There was a Prisoner of War camp at Marbury Hall near northwich during the second world war, my question is this, is it possible that a relation of mine became pregnant and the child later sent to north america, DNA has lead me to his being a possibility but with no more proof, ie the missing child would have been a girl born around 1943 and gave birth to a close relation of mine in America in 1962, my relation is searching for his biological mother and is this close now. he has a large amount of german DNA along with my british side and some other DNA from his fathers side, he has found his father since with help.
My female relation who may have been the grandmother of my close relation in america lived in the town of Marston, near Wincham which seems close enough to the POW camp for this to make it interesting.
Your thoughts on this matter would be of great interest and even any ideas of what to look for.

Yes, it could have happened.

Lots of prisoners were used to work on farms etc around the camps and met the local people. They also stayed on after the war, married, and became well established in this country.

However, this was usually later on and fraternisation was not allowed, particularly earlier on.

Possibly research Marbury Hall to find what sort of camp it was - whether prisoners worked out in 1942/1943.

If you believe a birth in 1943, if it is a common surname, you would be looking for e.g. a Smith/Smith birth potentially anywhere in the country if the mother was sent away to have the child, rather too many to follow up without other names.

I do not get the 'later sent to north america'.  Child adopted in this country and later parents went to USA?  What do you think?

Thank you , i do need to do more research on the subject, yes i also need to look at the last name and last name idea, they are some and yes they do appear all over the country, i thik that there was less than a bout 10 in total when i had a look and used a year either siade of 1943 to try and capture a total amount, i will have to filter through them to see if any thing pops up.

Have you searched for a birth certificate for this person? There should be a birth registered for her as that is a legal requirement in the UK. There are a few sites where you can search for these, one of which is FreeBMD: https://www.freebmd.org.uk/ There is also Freereg.

If the child was illegitimate the birth would have been registered in her mother's name, the certificate would be the same. The latter may show the father's name but it could be blank.
