I have the bmd details of Joseph and Sarah. It is Henry/Harry that is my brick wal!. I am wondering if the parents had split up and Henry was illegitimate and so could have been registered under a different name.

I wonder about this one

HAROLD Wray Mar 1887 in Caistor (MMN Tomlinson though which is yet another random surname)

Just wondering if Harry wasn't actually short for Henry - and that got lost in the midst of time

He married in 1887 and was born c 1867/8 so I don't think the one above is a possibility

daljul,

It may be that the birth never was registered(I think we all have at least one of those!)

My gran was one of 10,two of them were never baptised, she of course was one of the 2  ::)
