Bernard McGlave, Mary's father in 1861, living with the Murray family, incl Mary who he married in 1861.

The John J McGivern born Cockermouth, 1884 had MMN Kinsella


John's mum was a McGleave, I finally found his birth in Carlisle in 1883. John James MacGivern mother surname MacGleave.

Good find mab!

Had tried many different combinations on the GRO. Obviously missed that one.

I have found out what happened to the other McGleave children from the 1871 census

Thomas married a Charlotte Bonner in 1893. They are on 1911 census in Newcastle.

John J died age 17 in 1882

There was also a Patrick McGlave 1867-1868, Whitehaven

Margaret, I believe, married in 1889, Wigton

There may have been other children born after 1871

Michael McGleve, born 1871 Wigton MMN Murray
