I am doing some research for a chum and this is what I have so far.
Basically, I am looking for Rose Hannah GILLETT (nee Dudley) in 1911?
Rose Hannah DUDLEY.
Born 1859 Ampthill, Beds. Parents were James DUDLEY and Elizabeth BAVINGTON.
Rose married William Gillett – 11 Oct 1880 at Marston Moretaine, Beds.
William’s father – Mark GILLETT
Rose and William had six children:
William George 1880
Emily 1883
Gertrude Ellen 1884
Violet Rose 1890. Died Nuneaton 1919.
Edith Beatrice Kate 1894. Died Nuneaton 21991
Sarah May 1900 – 1983.
Rose Hannah and William were living with her parents in 1881 in Marston.
In 1891, she was still with her family and four of her children.
She may have gone there to look after her own mother who died in 1892.
Husband William (on the same page) is living with his father, Mark.
In 1901, William and Rose are together at Wavendon with children Violet, Edith and Sarah.
In 1911, William, noted as married, is head of house in Haversham, Wolverton. His father Mark is also there. But no sign of Rose, his wife.
In the Lunacy Patient Registers for Buckinghamshire, there is an entry for Roseanna GILLET, marked as a female pauper, admitted 15 Dec 1911 and discharged 30 Jul 1912.
So the question is....where was she on 1911 census night?? We know she was alive; she died in 1937, death registered Aylesbury.
