Alright, quick question.

I am looking for a possible child of Daniel light Ensminger (d.1976), who was legally married to Lottie Conrad Ensminger (d.1951).  There is a possibility he had a child with another woman and had a second family unknown to his wife and biological children.  One of his biological children is still living, the other is decesased.

How would I go about finding out this information?  I don't know where to start.  I am assuming birth records, somewhere, could potentially list him as the father even if the child took the name of the mother?  They never married but rather maintained a long term relationship while he was married and I do not know her name.  I did find one possibility through a cemetery listing for a Joseph Ensminger b. 1922 and buried 1972 but I really have no idea how to know if it is correct.  This would have been in the mid 1920's, probably about 1928-1930 give or take, in the Hershey/Hummelstown area of Pennsylvania, that a child might have been born although it could have been sooner, maybe as early as 1922 above.
