Groves Family
« on: Friday 20 November 20 15:08 GMT (UK) »
Hi I am chasing my Groves family. I have the Appleby PRs giving me the Baptism of Ann Groves 1806 ( 3x GGrandmother who ended up in Newcastle) and all her siblings. Also the marriage of parents:
Thomas Groves = Barbara Henderson 1794 Appleby.

Trying to find the baptism of Thomas.  I have his burial 1849 giving age of 77 so approx 1772 birth. he is not in the Appleby registers but I have a possible father from A* tree as Thomas who in 1770 window tax is living in Bampton so possibly Thomas 1772 bap there?

The Cumbrai FHS dont seem to have the Bampton PRS. Anyone can help?

If Oxfordshire;

Family Search are suggesting that The Genealogist have the Indexes for Bampton to 1812.
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.
