Dorset Family History Society’s Monthly Online Zoom Meeting
« on: Saturday 21 November 20 14:39 GMT (UK) »
Dorset Family History Society is hosting an on-line Zoom talk on Tuesday 15th December 2020 from 7.30pm - 9.30pm (approx.)

ON-LINE SPEAKER IS STEVE ROBERTS talking on THE NEW FOREST NATIONAL PARK

This will be a more relaxed talk for December looking at a well known local history subject. Here’s to a good Christmas!!

Steve Roberts takes us on an entertaining tour of the New Forest, looking in detail at its history from the Saxons to the present day, and its flora and fauna, plus some of the quirky, lesser-known tales that have helped to make it the place it is. Steve also looks at the story of today’s National Park Authority and what its responsibilities are within the forest.

Dorset Family History Society welcomes Steve Roberts back once more for another fascinating talk. Steve is a resident of Christchurch, originally graduating as a teacher, he later changed career to become an IT Project Manager. In 2012 he moved to Christchurch, becoming a freelance writer, private tutor and public speaker.

To access the talk please email liaison@dorsetfhs.org.uk from the week before. An invitation will be sent out with sign in details, and then sign in to Zoom from 7.15pm on the night for a 7.30 start. The Society would welcome a voluntary contribution (usually £3) towards the cost via our website.  Thank you.
